Newcastle Port Community Contribution

The Newcastle Port Community Contribution (NPCC) is an annual grants program to provide funding for new community infrastructure around the Port of Newcastle.

The Hunter Development Corporation administers the NPCC and will make recommendations to Government on projects to be funded. Under this initiative, an amount no less than $1 million per year will be made available under the Newcastle Port lease agreement. The initiative aims to support the costs of improving and maintaining landside infrastructure and community amenity in the environs of the Port of Newcastle. Individual projects could have an environmental, recreation or tourism focus and would be valued between $10,000 and $500,000.

Applications must be from community groups, not-for-profits, local council, state government agencies, land owning or managing agencies or organisations. Applications must have the land owner’s consent. Round 3 of the Expressions of Interest is now open. A briefing session will be held on Tuesday 2 May at 10am. A venue is to be advised.
